GET INVOLVED
Our families, our schools and our community are all being infected by meth use, but there are things that we can do to fight the infection.
LEARN ABOUT METH
Knowledge is a powerful thing. By learning the facts about meth, you are protecting yourself and your community.
TALK IT UP
Send emails to your friends, talk about meth with people in your community and write letters to your local paper. By talking about meth use and its damaging consequences, you become a role model for others who want to live a meth-free life.
TAKE ACTION
- Choose not to try meth, even once, and tell people why you made that choice.
- Contact law enforcement to see how you can help them with their efforts.
- Email your meth-fighting suggestions to local and state legislators.
- Encourage your school principal to have a school-wide meth education program.
- Guide friends and family who are using meth to find help for their addiction.
- Join a drug-free club.
- Join anti-meth community groups.
- Report any meth labs and drug activity you find.
- Speak out in your schools and other public places about the dangers of meth.
- Volunteer at agencies that help children of meth-addicted parents.
PAY ATTENTION
Keep an eye out in your neighborhood for signs of meth use, labs, and dealing. Report any suspicious activity to your local police.
KNOW YOUR RESOURCES
Community resources are available to help you, your family, your friends and your neighbors. Treatment programs, local businesses and the Southern Oregon Meth Project are only some of the resources you can use to fight meth use in your community. Use them to make a positive difference.
